
M. Yvette Williams-Brown, M.D., MMSc, is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist and came to the Dell Medical School from Baylor College of Medicine. There, she served as physician co-champion for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund’s Woman to Woman Program, a unique support program for gynecologic cancer patients. Since joining Dell Med, Yvette has collaborated on several multidisciplinary projects throughout The University of Texas at Austin and was part of a team that reached the 2016 Texas Health Catalyst Program finals. Having followed an academic career, teaching is very important to her. She currently serves as the gynecologic oncology residency rotation director in the Department of Women’s Health. Both at BCM and now at Dell Med, she has been active in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents and fellows. Williams-Brown has special expertise in gynecologic malignancies, specifically ovarian, uterine cervical and vulvar cancers. She also performs minimally invasive procedures including robotic surgery.
