Looking for a clinical supervisor? I am taking on new clinical supervisees. Supervisees can be social workers, counsellors, or psychotherapists. I am a dedicated social worker and psychotherapist who has a myriad of experience treating psychosocial and emotional health challenges afflicting diverse populations, especially Black African diaspora, First Nations, Inuit and other racialized populations. As a strong advocate for holistic healing, my experience has been strengthened by my clinical experience working in criminal justice, child welfare, homelessness and mental health/psychiatric sectors. I have strong experience working with individuals, couples and families. I bring a culturally and ethno-religious specific lenses to my work, including my knowledge of African, Christian, Inuit and Islamic philosophies. Therapy modality knowledge includes, but not limited to: Solution-Focused Brief, Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, and Psychodynamic Therapy. The healing journey is non-linear, and certainly is difficult, but is one of the most rewarding journeys you will undergo.
