
Negassi H. Tesfamichael is a skilled litigator in the Washington, DC office of King & Spalding. He advises clients in a wide variety of substantive areas, including complex commercial litigation, intellectual property law, class actions and products liability. Negassi also devotes considerable time to pro bono immigration and civil rights cases. Before joining King & Spalding, Negassi completed internships at National Public Radio and the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press. He also served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Matthew F. Kennelly at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Negassi earned his J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of law, where he served as the Online Managing Editor of the Northwestern University Law Review. He also participated in the Roderick and Solange MacArthur Justice Center Civil Rights Litigation Clinic. Negassi also holds a B.A in English and Political Science with Comprehensive Honors from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Negassi was recently selected as a member of the National Black Lawyers – “Top 40 Under 40” (2024) (Washington, DC).
