
Hi, my name is Makita and I’m happy to see you chose to visit my page. I work with young adults, adults, and couples, who are interested in learning to cope with life’s challenges. This includes anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues, anger, feeling overwhelmed or burnt out. My clients are looking for and need a supportive therapist who can sit with them during their lowest points, be bold and honest with them during their denials and can offer practical tools they can utilize outside of the therapy room. Their goal is to feel better because they want better for themselves and their situations. I am a compassionate person who also happens to be a therapist. My specialty is supporting my clients with what ever issue they are experiencing while being my authentic self. I offer no judgement and never pretend to be the expert in their lives. My aim is to make therapy a collaborative process where we both add to the experience in the room. I believe in establishing an open empathic environment for clients as the foundation to providing a strong therapeutic relationship. I believe this to be the first step in creating a safe space for clients to explore their presenting issues and develop healing and recovery.
