I am a Therapist and Yoga Instructor serving clients in Ontario. Through a culturally informed lens I help racialized women process and address issues that may be arising from racial and intergenerational trauma, family and relationship issues, as well as ADHD, anxiety and depression. In sessions, we will work together to address the life challenges that bring you to therapy, one breath at a time. Together we will create a wellness plan that not only addresses trauma, but helps you address negative beliefs. I also incorporate trauma processing modalities such as EMDR into sessions to help build a sense of body-based awareness. In addition to EMDR, I specialize in somatic practices that address your symptoms of mental health through a combination of holistic and clinical techniques. In recognizing how mental health and trauma manifests within the physical body, I incorporate somatic techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, yoga and breathing techniques into sessions as needed. The hardest step in your mental health journey is often deciding when to reach out for support, and you’ve made it halfway. In setting up an initial 30 minute consultation you can get a better feel for what therapy with me will be like, and bring any questions you may have about the process.
