Life is hard and at times we all need support along the journey. I seek to offer support for those struggling along the way. I believe that every individual is inherently worthy. The goal of therapy is to encourage the use of positive resources, options, and opportunities, to help improve individual and relational well-being and redeem past loss/shame. I will work with you to create a plan that best fits your needs and helps move you toward your desired goal. I operate from a strength based perspective that addresses the whole person. I work with individuals, couples, and families.I am open to issues of spirituality and faith and willing to incorporate that into sessions at the client’s request. I am sensitive to issues of diversity regarding religion, race, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, and gender identity. I have extensive experience working with adolescents, couples, and families. I have worked with issues related to depression, anxiety, substance abuse, eating disorders, self-esteem, trauma, and relationships. I also have a special interest and focus on the mental-health and well being of minorities, especially African Americans and women.
