
Dr. Benjamin is a double board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatric dermatologist, renowned for her expertise in atopic dermatitis, acne, sun safety, pediatric laser, and surgery. She currently serves as Associate Professor at Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine in Boca Raton, Florida as Co-Director of the Foundation of Medicine Course. She also directs the Communication, Compassion & Collaborative Care Thread for training medical students. Dr. Benjamin, a long-time faculty member of LiVDerm’s Masters of Pediatric Dermatology Symposium, is a mother and passionate advocate for women and children. She has previously received the WDS Volunteer of the Year Award and has been presented with the WDS Recognition of Leadership and Service Award. Recognized as a leading female figure in the world of dermatology, she is highly respected among her peers. Her wealth of knowledge and expertise make her a much sought-after speaker at dermatologic events and meetings and a mentor to young physicians. Dr. Benjamin’s appointment, which coincides with Women’s History Month, serves to remind us of the multitude of leading female dermatologists that strive to make a difference in today’s world of medicine.
