Dr. Marsha Shaw is a patient-centered, compassionate advocate for her patients. She enjoys caring for complex medical patients with a number of comorbid conditions and was well prepared in her training, often working in the ICU, running CVVH machines, and, at times, placing lines for dialysis. Dr. Shaw completed Fellowship training at the Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, where she focused on managing Hypertension and Chronic kidney diseases after completing her Internal Medicine training at the Texas Medical Center. She was the youngest graduate of Emory University’s Class of 2001, at age 19; from there, she went on to her Medical Training. In addition to caring for her patients, she is the mother of two boys and is active with the Boy Scouts of America. Jamaican-born, part of a large family of professionals, she will be found cheering for her favorite track and field team during the Penn Relays, Olympics, and similar sporting events.
