We will all experience times in our lives when we really need someone that we can talk to, someone who will really listen, someone we can trust. Therapy is a powerful, evidence-based tool that has been proven to meet those needs. Though there is often a stigma attached to seeking support for mental health concerns, in reality, our mental health is an integral part of our overall health and wellness and, in my opinion, should be treated with the same importance as seeing a physician or a dentist. Though people seek therapy for a variety of reasons, the common theme is their hope to live happier, healthier, and more productive lives. From our first meeting we will begin to develop our therapeutic relationship in an environment that is objective, neutral, and nonjudgemental. As part of our work together we will explore your vision and goals for the future, address relevant feelings and emotions, identify thought, behavior, and relationship patterns, and develop healthy coping skills. Taking the first step on this journey can be uncomfortable and overwhelming. However, as your therapist I will provide a safe and supportive environment in which you feel seen, heard, and valued as you begin the process of self-exploration, learn to negotiate life’s challenges, and experience personal growth and happiness.
