I believe that people are the experts of their own lives and thrive when space and support are offered along the way. I have been an educator for over 15 years supporting youth and young adults who experience difficulties with life transitions. My personal style entails an empathetic and non-judgmental approach. Within the therapeutic relationships that I establish, I help clients explore personal and academic issues with compassion, curiosity, and when applicable, lightness and humour. As a Black therapist, I believe racial trauma, anxiety, and depression are symptoms of systemic structures and Eurocentric norms that leave some people as benefactors and others harmed. With an anti-racist lens, I support clients along their healing journey by naming, addressing, and validating their experiences through an anti-oppressive approach.
