Ralph Waldo Emerson said “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” I believe that individuals are more than just their experiences. I view psychotherapy as a place in which you can explore your life experiences as well as gain greater insight into your character “what lies within.” I believe that growth occurs when people believe that they can make things different in their own lives. My role as a therapist is to support and encourage you as you take steps toward making changes in your life. Keeping in mind that we all spring from multiculturally diverse backgrounds, I work with you in order to help you decide what you want to change in your life. How you see the world will profoundly influence how you will want to make that change occur.
