Our emotional worlds can feel heavy and complex, especially when combined with systemic factors outside our control. Perhaps you’re wanting to build practical emotional regulation and interpersonal skills, address relational, systemic or intergenerational trauma or soothe shame. Or, maybe you’re seeking an opportunity to talk through questions that you have about yourself, your life and those around you. Whatever support you are needing, we can co-create a space to explore with curiosity, ease distress, cultivate self-compassion and ultimately move you closer to your goals. I use a liberation-oriented, and trauma-informed lens, with a deep commitment to anti-oppressive practice, centring the needs of racialized, queer and/or trans people. With warmth and curiosity, I weave in somatic and emotion-focused methods to offer a non-pathologizing and compassionate space where you can feel seen and heard. I know that it can be difficult to share personal experiences with others, and so I understand the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship where you can feel safe to open up. Throughout our work together, we will take the time to work at your own pace, and create both a safer and a braver space where you can fully be yourself.
