Kaprice was born and raised in Connecticut. She earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Mount Ida College in Newton, Massachusetts in 2016, and then went on to the Charleston School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina, where she earned her JD in 2019. While in law school, Kaprice interned with criminal defense attorney Chad Shelton, where she gained her first experience in the criminal law field. After law school Kaprice moved back to Connecticut where she worked as a Temporary Assistant Clerk in the GA22 office of Milford Superior Court for two years. While in that position, Kaprice helped people with their criminal and motor vehicle cases and became familiar with many of the criminal and motor vehicle laws in the state. Kaprice has had a passion for the criminal law since she was a young girl, from witnessing how systemic racism plays a big role in the criminal justice system. Her goal is to be able to help as many people as she possibly can, and advocate for those who do not have the means to advocate for themselves.
