Kellisia is a licensed attorney in the state of New York and the Commonwealth of Virginia. She is on a mission to rebuild, restore, and reunite one family at a time, by speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves. Kellisia handles matrimonial and family law, family immigration law, and estate planning. She has extensive and diverse experience in civil litigation, including but not limited to child custody and visitation, child abuse, child neglect, orders of protection, and divorce. While Kellisia advocates for all people, she is passionate about fighting for the rights of minority fathers, as they are often overlooked and working at a disadvantage in the Family Court. Kellisia is razor-sharp, resilient, and relentless. She fights tirelessly to get her clients the results they seek. Kellisia believes that client engagement is central to litigation, and she is committed to maintaining a high level of communication. She takes the time to truly involve her clients and incorporate their goals, concerns, values, and feedback. Kellisia manages the relationship transparently so that her clients can see how their interests are being served at every stage of the litigation process. She collaborates with clients so they can provide valuable input on their case. “I love helping people gain access to the law so they can resolve their issues through legal means. I am very passionate about fighting for my clients and being there for them when otherwise they may not have the power to get compensation or justice on their own.” Kellisia has earned two Bachelor’s degrees from Indiana Wesleyan University in Business Administration and Pre-Law/Political Science. She then earned three graduate degrees in only four years at Regent University. She received a Masters’ Degree in Theology, a Juris Doctor, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.; Latin: Magister Legum or Legum Magister) in international law, with a focus on the rights of children. While in law school, Kellisia was a member of the Moot Court competition team, in which she won three “Best Oralist” awards. Kellisia has published works on children’s rights in Africa, namely Ghana, which have been utilized by the Ghanaian Supreme Court, the United Nations International Court: The African Commission for Human and Peoples’ Rights, and various students across the globe. When she is not making a positive difference in the lives of her clients, Kellisia enjoys spending time with her sister’s pit bull, Max. Second to Max, she makes herself available to spend quality time with her human family including her nieces and nephews. Kellisia is also a talented singer and directs the praise team at her church. To rejuvenate her spirit and take care of herself, she enjoys working out and traveling. As of this year, she’s traveled to over twenty-five different countries. Ghana remains her favorite country to visit.
