For me, it’s all about relationships and community. Parents and their children – kids and their parents, and their siblings. People and coworkers, and neighbors, and folks from church, and everybody else they interact with on a frequent basis. These relationships help us get by when things are challenging – and when these relationships become challenging they can throw everything off balance. We’ll talk through your relationships – we’ll work on healthy boundaries – we’ll work on communication – we’ll set goals and explore techniques to help you cope and adapt to change. Whether you’re 6 years old or 60 years old – it’s the same work that we do, exploring these relationships. I say this often, but it’s worth repeating: You don’t need to feel guilty/scared/nervous about seeking therapy. We don’t beat ourselves up for not being able to fix our cars – yet we still think we should be able to navigate the complicated relationships that surround us. Cut yourself some slack and reach out to me. Together, we’ll make things better.
