I became a therapist to ensure that clients feel safe, seen, heard, validated and accepted. Through clinical skills and knowledge, I aim to make a positive difference in the lives of my clients. I have over ten years of experience working with diverse populations, specifically within the mental health profession. With a combination of evidence based therapeutic knowledge, extensive educational and clinical experiences, I am passionate and competent to support clients in having successful outcomes and be effective advocates for their lives. Change is challenging, and I would like to help you make strides on your journey to healing. My experience spans in areas such as depression, mood and anxiety disorders, neurodevelopment, life span transitions, relational trauma, parenting challenges and family dynamics. At the core, I am client-centered in all that I do; knowing that each client deserves their unique assessment and targeted treatment plan. As an immigrant and a Caribbean native, I have always been passionate about cultures. Which is why I strongly believe in cultural diversity and inclusion; this is reflected in my work which is often unlined by cultural-sensitivity and an anti-racism/anti-oppressive stance. My hope is that clients know that they are in a safe space created for them.
