
Attorney Monique Larmond is a co-founder of Givens & Larmond Law Group, LLP and is licensed in California and New York. Her practice areas include all things Business, Personal Injury and Family law. She began her legal career as a personal injury litigator and then went on to gain experience in transactional law, focused in commercial real estate and business transactions, with an emphasis in contract drafting/reviewing, business formations and operation of various types of business entities, and protecting brand ownership through trademark registrations. Ms. Larmond has helped numerous entrepreneurs to form their businesses, insulate their businesses, and protect their brands. She is passionate about helping others to secure generational wealth through business and real estate. More recently, Ms. Larmond has further helped the firm’s family law clients to secure and protect their personal assets through pre-martial and martial settlement agreements. Ms. Larmond earned her Juris Doctorate with cum laude honors from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in May of 2017. While in law school, Ms. Larmond was the Managing Editor for the Thomas Jefferson Law Review, alongside her business partner, Briana Givens, where they made history as the first all black women managing board in California. She also completed a judicial externship with the Honorable John A. Houston, a United States Federal District Court Judge, where she had multiple opinions published. Additionally, Ms. Larmond volunteered with the Small Business Law Clinic where she received substantial client service and contract drafting skills to best help small businesses. Ms. Larmond earned her Masters in Business Management with a concentration in Sports from Manhatanville College and her Bachelors in Economics from the State University of New York, Binghamton University. Ms. Larmond is licensed to practice law in California. She is a committee member of the San Diego Lawyer’s Club, the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Association, the Real Property Law Section of the San Diego Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association-Solo/Small firm section, and the John M. Langston Bar Association of Los Angeles. Ms. Larmond is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Ms. Larmond is a New York City native with Jamaican roots. Her family immigrated to the states in the late 80’s. They have always pushed her and encouraged her to work hard and shoot for the stars, which is how she became the first attorney in her family. When she’s not working, she enjoys exploring the beautiful views of Southern California, cooking delicious Jamaican meals and spending time with her loved ones.
