My name is Pamela Banks and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) and Independent Clinical Supervisor (ICS) based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I specialize in substance use disorders, PTSD, depression and anxiety utilizing Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Psycho education and Psychodynamic to support my clients in achieving goals for recovery. My approach depends on the aims and needs of my clients therefore would be more of an eclectic approach and a person-centered approach which allows me and my clients to develop the therapeutic relationship in a way that allows me to choose the most effective treatment tailored to my client’s needs. My specialty population is adults and teens. My communication style is inviting, calm, non-scripted, nonjudgmental and it allows me to create a natural flow for organic conversations with my clients. Most of my clients open up to me immediately as a result of my communication style.
