Ra’Nesha Lawrence

Ra’Nesha is licensed in New York and Michigan and specializes in Family and Matrimonial Law including but not limited to divorce, custody, visitation, child protective proceedings and domestic violence cases. She also handles estate planning matters assisting families with wills, trusts, and probate issues. Ra’Nesha is dedicated to advocating for those who are unfairly prejudiced by the legal system. She embodies the firm’s mission to rebuild, restore and reunite families. Clients appreciate working with her as she can relate with their family court experience both as a previous litigant and now as an attorney. Prior to Hazlewood Lawrence PLLC, Ra’Nesha worked as an Agency Attorney prosecuting child abuse cases in New York City, where she was awarded the Child Advocacy Award for her dedication, commitment, and fierce advocacy on her cases. She is an experienced litigator who is dedicated to advocating relentlessly for her clients. The skill, knowledge and experience obtained over the years has caused her to excel in her field while handling cases with compassion and integrity. Ra’Nesha obtained her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from University of Phoenix and managed companies for over 13 years before transitioning to the legal field. She graduated Cum Laude from Western Michigan Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While in law school, she served on various committees, legal clinics and worked as a teaching assistant for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Professor. She competed on the National Trial Team and Received Best Advocate at the Moot Court Competition. In her personal time, she loves spending time with her children and traveling anywhere that has a beach and good food. She also enjoys coffee, dancing and listening to gospel music. Her ability to rise above any circumstance and come out on top has given her the nickname “Wonder Woman” by some of her closest friends and family.
