Sarah Yousuf is a registered social worker and psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers. Aside from her secular studies, she received her Ta’leem Al Quran Certificate from Al Huda Institute Canada where she studied the Tafseer of the Quran. Wanting to pursue her religious studies further, she moved to Egypt to study Arabic and Islamic Studies. Her goal in therapy is to combine both the secular and religious knowledge she has acquired to create a powerful mode towards psycho-spiritual well-being for clients, that is rooted in the Quran and Sunnah. Drawing on her own lived experiences as a Black Muslim, she intimately grasps the intricate interplay of intersectionalities in one’s life, which often places marginalized individuals in challenging situations. With over a decade of experience working with the Muslim community, she is aware the unique challenges that Muslims face in their everyday lives. Her aim is to create a supportive and non-judgemental space that highlights each individual’s strengths in order to help them achieve their goals. She welcomes individuals to reach out and begin their journey towards healing and personal growth, offering support every step of the way.
