
Yusef Imani, MD. is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery and complex spinal deformities in both adult and pediatric patients. With extensive and diverse training, he carefully selects the most appropriate procedures tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Utilizing the latest technology and advanced techniques, Dr. Imani prioritizes faster recovery, minimal post-operative pain, and a seamless return to daily life. Dr. Imani earned his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University before attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He began his neurosurgical training at the University of South Florida, where he developed expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery. His specialization in pediatric scoliosis surgery was further honed during his research year at Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, where he collaborated with orthopedic surgeons on some of the world’s most complex scoliosis cases. During his time at Shriners Hospital, Dr. Imani discovered his passion for global medical outreach. He has lectured at hospitals in Wenzhou, China, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and annually joins a team of neurosurgeons at Black Lion Hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, dedicating two weeks to providing specialized care.
